Christy Cox leverages decades of global human-resource and leadership-development experience to execute business results. As a senior HR consultant with more than 30 years working across multiple GE industrial operations, her experience covers strategic business partnerships with large groups of employees in locations around the world.

Her diverse background includes working with clients in information technology, marketing, product management and customer service. Christy enjoys applying her process orientation, strategic mindset, and creativity to solve tough organizational challenges. Her work helps companies facilitate change, drive organizational effectiveness and boost leadership development.

Christy’s experience includes:

  • Facilitation and training – As an accomplished facilitator, Christy’s experiences range from complex problem-solving to new-manager assimilations and nonprofit board meetings.
  • GE-style “WorkOut” – The WorkOut method places the work to be done or the problem to be solved in the middle of an organization. Christy invites the people who know that problem best to use the WorkOut process to develop and implement a workable and measurable solution.  
  • Targeted Workshop Design and facilitation – Christy works with organizations to host workshops designed specifically to address the business’s needs. These workshops can be held on-site  or off-site.
  • Christy works with Employee Retention and Engagement programs – helping companies adopt inclusive leadership to improve employee engagement and business growth.  Christy helps leaders review assumptions and biases and develop policies that celebrate the competitive advantages of diversity – including higher productivity and engagement, reduced turnover, consistent quality, and innovation.  
  • Entry and executive orientations Christy works with promising employees to help them assimilate to change more quickly – from the new hire adjusting  to a new company culture to the recently promoted executive adjusting to a senior role.
  • Succession Planning and Pipeline Development – Christy works with organizations to ensure leaders work through succession planning annually and high-potential employees get the skills they need to be tomorrow’s leaders. Her sustained work gives organizations the assurance that a vacancy in a critical role is not only prepared for, but that transitions are fluid.

Credentials:

Christy received her bachelor’s degree in Consumer Science from Miami University and her MA in Management from Webster University. She is Six Sigma Green Belt-certified, trained as a GE WorkOut Facilitator and graduated from GE’s executive leadership course in Management Development. She is a member of the International Association of Facilitators.

 

Successes Include:

  • Responsible for the design and implementation of GE’s Workout process across North American field service locations.
  • Worked with production workforce and support functions to facilitate and strengthen organizational capacity via team development,  identification of roles and responsibilities, feedback training, and work agreements for a private manufacturing company.
  • Designed and delivered customized leadership skills workshops for teams at a large commercial roofing and a small manufacturing company.
  • Facilitated strategic discussions/sessions for a large luxury home builder; private equity firm and several non-profit organizations.
  • Led GE-style WorkOut at a global agricultural product manufacturer.
