Merrell Grant  has a track record of delivering results, driving change,  and working collaboratively across organizations to create growth-oriented teams. She brings more than 30 years of experience leading teams in high-performance advertising, marketing, and sales organizations. Her diverse background includes brand development, new product introduction, customer segmentation, and channel distribution.

Merrell has held leadership positions in marketing, advertising, product management, and sales. Her career experience spans several business-to-consumer industries including: Gannett Direct Marketing, Chi-Chi’s Mexican Restaurants, Humana, Storer Cable (now Comcast), and GE Appliances. She is an expert in strategy, product development, customer experience, and marketing.

Merrell’s consulting experience includes:

  • Strategic Planning – Merrell works with leaders to forge a rigor and rhythm to setting and achieving goals. This process-focused approach to strategic planning actively involves leaders, their teams, and often a broader community. Those involved work to define and agree to a vision for their organization and to commit the resources necessary to achieve strategies and goals for their compelling future.
  • Executive coaching – Merrell helps leaders see the possibilities for their success, reach their potential, and accomplish their goals.
  • Facilitation – A facilitator sets the tone for a meeting and redirects when things go awry. Merrell works closely with leadership to design meetings for maximum effectiveness – establishing ground rules, determining participants, defining goals and objectives, and creating actions to measure success.
  • Assessments are incredibly useful for leadership and team development. Assessment tools can help guide leaders and peers to build strong teams by working together to understand where you are, and where you want to go.
  • Action learning – Action learning is not the often parodied “games” and “trust exercises” you may be thinking of. Action learning transfers skills to clients with a system of experiential learning, reflection, and facilitated application to real work scenarios.
  • GE Style “Workout” – The WorkOut method places the work to be done or the problem to be solved in the middle of an organization. Merrell invites the people who know that problem best to use the WorkOut process to develop and implement a workable and measurable solution.
